Due to the war launched by Russia against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, many lives were lost and the society was negatively affected by this situation. At this point, children who are defenseless in the face of war appear as “war victims”. Considering the representation of children who are victims of war in the digital newspaper, it is seen that there are ethical problems. In addition, there are dramatized and sensational discourses in news content about children who are victims of war. As a method in the research, discourse analysis method, which is a qualitative analysis, is used to analyze how the language used in the news in the digital newspapers for Ukrainian war victims is included in the texts and contexts. In this study, it is aimed to examine whether there is an ethical problem regarding the representation of Ukrainian war victim children news in digital newspapers in the context of child-focused journalism. In this sense, 3 different digital newspapers with different editorial policies were determined, and the news about the Ukrainian child victims of war in the digital newspapers of Yeni Şafak, Hürriyet and Sözcü between 24 February 2022 and 31 March 2022 were examined has been revealed.
