This study provides an in-depth examination of the impact of teachers’ speaking and listening competencies on the quality of learning processes within educational communication. These skills, which are essential for establishing effective teacher-student interactions, play a critical role not only in knowledge transmission but also in increasing student motivation, fostering empathy, and enhancing classroom management. Existing research highlights the insufficiency of traditional educational approaches in fostering these competencies. Accordingly, this study focuses on how interactive methods and digital technologies contribute to the development of teachers' communication skills. The study emphasizes that innovative applications such as simulations, role-playing activities, collaborative learning, and video-based feedback tools offer teacher candidates opportunities to enhance both their individual and group-level speaking and listening skills. These methods are shown to strengthen teachers’ abilities in active listening, empathy, and the development of pedagogical strategies, thereby improving the quality of classroom interactions. Furthermore, the integration of educational technologies, such as virtual classrooms and digital platforms, is discussed as a key factor in helping teachers develop effective communication skills not only in face-to-face learning environments but also in online contexts. The study draws attention to the gaps in current teacher training programs and recommends the wider implementation of interactive methods to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Ultimately, the study argues that improving teachers’ communication competencies not only enhances their professional success but also contributes to creating student-centered, more democratic, and effective learning environments.
